Pathfinder Tonopah was a 2023 recipient of Nevada’s Excellence in Mine Reclamation Award for addressing legacy remediation. 

Pathfinder’s management team has a record of environmental excellence. Pathfinder’s CEO led an Oregon mining project to be awarded multiple MSHA regional safety awards and DOGAMI’s Excellence in Reclamation award. A director of Pathfinder assisted Equatorial to receive an Excellence in Reclamation award in 2001 from the Bureau of Land Management, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection, US Forest Service and the Nevada Department of Minerals. 

Our consultants include several individuals who have a long history with the site and rich data to support environmental projects and conclusions. For example, the individual that designed the heap leach in 1999 is assisting Pathfinder to help design the closure strategy. The company that completed the geochemical work for prior operators assisted in a robust pit lake study that will be presented at the 2023 International Mine Water Association Conference.
